Little Rock in July

Hey Everyone! Sorry it has taken me so long to post, I know y'all are dying to know what Breck and I have been up to..haha! We have had a fun past two weeks! It included visits from Kate and Rachel! They were so sweet to come stay with us and we had a great time! Kate came on Tuesday and I kept forgeting to bring the camera everywhere we went, so we had took all our pictures during her last hour here. Anyways, I figured I would start by showing you the puzzle Breck and I have been working on since May. It has made a little more progress since this picture was taken, but it is still not finished. I will keep you posted on the progress. Here it is...

Ok, so this is a project that I worked on. Below is a picture of the gold nightstand that Breck brought with him. It didn't really match the room, so I went to one of my favorite stores..Hobby Lobby.. and for 12 dollars and 50 cents I got some paint and new nobs for it...
The Before-

The After-

AND THEN KATE CAME!!!

Kate came on Tuesday! She got here late in the afternoon and she and I went to Larry's pizza. It is a delicious pizza place right down the street from us. Sadly, Breck had to work. So he wasn't able to come...Then the next day we went to Charolette's Eats and Sweets in Keo, AR. It is a great place to eat and people come from all over to eat there. There was an article about it in the Southern Living Magazine! It has been there for many years. (Sadly, there are no pictures from there, but I think I am going to go back soon, so I will be sure to take pictures!) So after that we walked around the antique stores around there. Then we headed back to town and went to Pottery Barn, William Sonomia, Walmart (a very nice Walmart down that is fairly close to where we live), and we went to the container store (where Kate made a great purchase)...

After all the shopping we came back to the apartment to rest until Breck got off work. When he came home we played the Wii for a little while (Breck has become a Pro at every sport on there...we really like playing it!)

Then Breck, Kate, and I headed off to one of our very favorite places...THE PURPLE COW! It has great food, a great atmosphere, and purple ice cream. We also forgot to bring the camera, but Kate was very excited to eat her purple ice cream! Then we went to the Movie by the River and saw the movie Juno. It was perfect weather so it was a great night! Then the next morning we got up and ate a big breakfast. I was getting sad because Kate was leaving today... :( But I was also excited because I knew Rachel would be coming the next day. Kate and I ate at Panarea Bread, another favorite of ours...

We kept Anne on the phone most of the time while Kate was here, she wasn't able to come, but we wanted her to feel like she was here...

This sums up Kate's time here....

Thanks for coming Kate!! We loved having you here!!!
So I got busy washing the sheets and getting ready for RACHEL coming!!! Rachel came to Little Rock with her mom and sister to come to a wedding and visit! I picked Rachel up and we headed to our favorite store....once again...HOBBY LOBBY! Rachel made a great purchase and the lady checking me out made fun of me for taking her picture, but I told her it was for the blog...

Then we were very hungry, so we headed to the......PURPLE COW!! :) Breck was working, so he didn't get to come...don't worry though he had the weekend off, so he will be on here soon!

We headed off to Target, Belk, then back to our apartment and then Breck got home! We had a great night just catching up... The next day Rachel went to the wedding and Breck and I headed down to the River Market. It is a fun place in downtown Little Rock, this is where we also go for movie nights. We got some okra and a tomato!

When we finished at the market, we decided to walk across the bridge...

We found a park right next to the River...we will have to bring our bathing suits next time..

Then we ended up eating lunch at the River Market. They have all types of oriental food, Breck and I chose to eat Japanize! It was delicous! Then we headed back to the apartment and made smoothies and played the Wii and one of our favorite games-UNO (the card game). Rachel came back from the wedding and we visited more. It was a great weekend. Sunday we took Rachel back to where her mom and sister were staying and she headed back to Jackson :( COME BACK VERY SOON RACHEL!! Then Breck and I headed to church. After church we ate lunch at our apartment. Then we went and played tennis and went to the pool for most of the day! It was a beautiful day!! Then we cooked dinner and then watched the Office! It was a great week! We loved having the company! Hope everyone is having a great summer!

It's Summertime!

So I'm going to start this post off by saying how much fun Breck and I had this past weekend! Breck was able to get July 3rd and 4th off, so we went to Kosciusko for the the holiday! We went to the Sullivan's house for the Fourth! The night before we camped out with Layna and Maddie. (I'm sure Malone would have been out there too, but he was perfectly happy spending the night with Mimi and Grumpy) The night was complete with S'mores!

So for those of you that don't know, Breck and I are huge Chik-Fil-A fans and today was cow appreciation day! So we dressed off like cows and headed to the nearest Chik-Fil-A. This was our meal...

This was us all dressed up. I got two white garbage bags and cute out black spots and taped them on. Then we wore our "Eat More Chicken" signs! I had noses, ears, and tails for us, but we ended up not going all out...

Since we just moved to Little Rock, we don't know too many people yet, but we ran into some of our friends who were also dressed up like cows for free chicken!

I have had some time on my hands since I have been here, so when I'm not working on thank you notes I have been cooking a little! I made an "Apple Tart" It was a mix between apple pie and cheesecake. I got the recipe out of the Southern Sideboards cookbook. And here it is...

On Tuesdays and Saturdays in downtown Little Rock they have a River Market. There are lots of fresh fruits and vegetables that are mostly grown in Arkansas. So on Tuesday I headed down to the River Market...

And this was dinner on Tuesday night...(Fresh black eyed peas, fried okra, corn, potatoes and chicken)

It was served on our new plates and placemats. And also on our new table :)

Every Wednesday night down where the River Market is is a "Movie in the Park!" One Wednesday night we decided to go and they happened to play Shrek 3. This movie is special to us because it is the movie we saw on our first date!

Probably everyone reading this post knows that the Harbarger's are a big prank family. Quick background story-at weddings pranks are very present and even if they can't find the bride/grooms car they will get anyone they can find. Breck and I hid our cars very well (an abandoned house near the church), but my mom did not on the other hand. This is a picture of her car at our wedding...it doesn't look so bad on the outside but on the inside you will find (or not find) that there were 14 airfreshners of different scents. They were all hidden around the inside of the car...

So when we returned from our honeymoon, Claude and Rachel were so kind to bring my car to the airport. Although, not so kind to strategically place three "black ice" air "freshners". Black Ice might possibly be the worst smelling thing in the world. So as Claude and Rachel were packing to move to Augusta...Mammy came...and hit Claude's car with oreos, cheese, and black ice....

We all knew it was Mammy because there were "M's" in cheese everywhere and this...

Even with all the pranks we really love each other so much! This is us on the night before Claude, Rachel, Breck, and I moved to Georgia and Arkansas. It took us many tries to get this picture, so we will really treasure it!

Anyways, we hope everyone is having a great summer!

The Past Two Months!

Welcome to our blog! This is my attempt to keep everyone posted on breck and my life! I have really enjoyed reading rachel and claude's blog so I am going to try to make it just as interesting! First, I have to give props to Rachel and Claude for helping me come up with the blog title! I thought it was very clever! We have had a very busy past two months! I am going to catch you up with a few pictures! Breck graduated from medical school, I graduated from Mississippi State, we each went to the beach with our friends, WE GOT MARRIED, went on two honeymoons, moved to Little Rock, we have been to three other weddings, we climbed a mountain, and Breck has started his pediatric residency! I will start the blog off by adding some pictures of our past two months!

I will start with the biggest event, the wedding! We got married on May 23, 2009! It was a wonderful day filled with family and friends. We really enjoyed getting to see everyone there! We had the wedding at noon at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Misssissippi. Then we had the reception at the Fairview Inn. After the wedding, Breck and I drove to Birmingham, AL to spend the first night.
We were married by Breck's dad, Rev. Gene Richardson, and my preacher, Dr. Ligon Duncan. They did a wonderful job and it was a beautiful worship service.

The cakes turned out wonderful! The cake shop did a great job!

Breck had a chocolate cake and 10 different cheesecakes!
The rehersal dinner was wonderful! It was at the Country Club of Jackson! We had some very fun speeches and we decided we have the best family and friends!
Pictures from the reception...

There are many more, but i'm going to continue on to other events of the past two months. The next was Breck's long coat ceremony/graduation. Breck's longcoat was on Thursday, May 21st.

And although I was very proud of Breck, Claude, and Rachel graduating, I was unable to make it to the ceremony due to the fact that it was on Friday, May 22. The bridemaid lunch was that day.

I graduated in Elementary Education on Mississippi State on May 2nd.

Right after the wedding we headed off to Ashville, NC. It was a very relaxing trip where we were able to catch up on sleep and we went to the Biltmore house! It was a huge house and was very beautiful. The gardens were so pretty at this time of year! We finally got a good picture in front of the house, but the first couple looked like this...I asked the lady to be sure to try to get the house in the background. She took a few that looked very similar to this. The picture above was taken by a different person. :)

So during the trip it rained everyday. So the day we went to Ashville I took my raincoat, before I got out of the car I said "Breck, should I bring my raincoat?" Breck said, "No, that's just another thing to carry." Well, what do you think happened? We got out in the gardens the furthest point away and it poured!
It was a good thing we were on our honeymoon, so I couldn't get mad! Another funny story on this trip was on the way home Breck was driving and we were pulled over for speeding in a construction zone. (which Breck and I still do not think he was speeding) Anyways, the police walked up to the car and Breck takes off his seatbelt. The police was going to give us a ticket for speeding in a construction zone and no seatbelt. I looked at him teary-eyed and said, "It's our honeymoon!" He decided to give us just a warning.

Just down our street in Little Rock is Pinnacle Point, it is a great mountain that you can hike up! Breck took the hard way that goes straight up, but i took the more "trail-like" way! I felt very high up!

This is Breck after he conquered the mountain!

This is me...
This is how high we were...
We were able to go to St. Lucia and stayed at the Regency Sandals. It was the best! The weather was beautiful and our room was great! The food was delicious and we would highly recommend it for everyone!

This is us on our way snorkling. We went out on a boat and saw lots of pretty coral and fish!

Breck and I enjoyed playing many games while we were there. Breck played beach volleyball everyday, while I laid on the beach and watched him. Breck also won "Name The Tune" in the pool! We played bocce ball, horse shoes, and treasure hunt. We won the most creative on the treasure hunt with Breck's idea of putting straws in his ball hat for a "Straw hat"!

Our favorite place to eat was the "Arizona Restaurant"! It was the best! We were able to get fresh chips, salsa, and guacamole! One day we were eating lunch in our bathingsuits and we were able to watch a wedding on the beach at the same time!

Anyways, I hope you feel caught up on Breck and my life! Don't worry our post will never be this long again!
