Let it snow!

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!! Well, as you can see from the pictures it has been snowing here in Little Rock! The news said last night that we had gotten about six inches! I have not posted in a long time, so there are many events to catch everyone up on! I will just start with the most recent snow!!!
This is a view outside our apartment!

Scenes from Little Rock

(This was actually taken about a week and a half ago, when it snowed a little)

We went sledding at a near by hill today!

While we were sledding, someone else was snowboarding!!

Can't have a good snow and not make snow angels!

Breck and I had a great Christmas this year! We were able to celebrate early on one of his days off. We also got to have a wonderful meal with Jason and Christy Smith and their girls the week before Christmas. I went to Jackson the week of Christmas and then when Breck got off work, we met in Kosciusko and then came to Jackson. We had a fun New Years party in Kosciusko, which unfortunantly we don't have any pictures of.

I got a sewing machine!

Here are a few things I have made...

This is a heating pad filled with rice and lavender, put it in the microwave a few minutes and it is wonderful!

Next to talk about is the Chick-Fil-A campout in Little Rock. It was so much fun! Rachel flew all the way from Augusta to be there! Mrs. Richardson left her house at 2:30 AM to come camp out! Christy was the first to arrive at about 5:40 AM. Rachel and I were there not long after! We played lots of cards, games, read books, and ate lots of chicken! That afternoon the campout was still not full, so Christy called Jason and he came with Hannah and Hailey to spend the night! So much fun!

Breck was working nights, so he was able to stop by after his shift and also before he went in! Everyone was glad to see him there!
Of course, he was spotted playing four square!
Jason has a hidden talent that came out...he won the hula hoop contest!

Beautiful trees there!

Finally, over Thanksgiving Breck and I were able to go to Koscuisko and Huntsville, AL. Breck had his first week off from work and we were able to fit a lot in one week! The first weekend, Jordan and Blair Kemp came to Little Rock! It was so much fun, we were able to go to the Mississippi State vs. Arkansas game in Little Rock. We love having company! Then, we went to Kosciusko to visit with Breck's family! Lots of fun! Then we met my family in Hunstville, AL (Where all my dads family lives) David and Emily, Claude and Rachel, and my parents all were able to meet there! It was great to see everyone! My grandparents had 29 people at their house for Thanksgiving dinner! The Auburn vs. Alabama game is a huge deal there! My Aunt and Uncle always host a party to cheer for Auburn. The nextdoor neighbors host the Alabama section. We were able to attend this year!
No party is complete without Aubie on the roof!

Breck and I had to get a picture with my grandparents before we left!

That is all for now! Hope everyone is having a good week!

It's Been A While!

This month has been a good month! We were able to go to see Taylor Swift and Dave Matthews. Not only did we get to see them, but they came to Little Rock, so we didn't even have to travel to see them! Breck worked all nights in October, but he had all his weekends off. We were able to go to Mississippi almost every weekend and we got to go to some Mississippi State games, so that was lots of fun! We were also able to see some family and friends from home! This weekend was lots of fun! On Friday night we went to our friends, Jason and Christy, house for a pre-halloween party! It was lots of fun! Then Saturday morning we slept in and then went and ate brunch at a place called Satellite Cafe. It was so good. Then we walked around the stores that were around there, then came home and watched football and played cards. It was a relaxing day. Then, we went to a residents house for a halloween party. It was fun to see everyone dressed up! This morning we went to church and then ate lunch at Moe's with some friends. It was such a beautiful day today that we climbed Pinacle Mountain.....we even went up the hard side!!! It was my first time to go up the hard side and I survived!! There were lots of people out there today! Anyways, I will be uploading the pictures from this weekend soon, so stay posted! :)
This is Breck and I at the Taylor Swift Concert

Our sister-in-law, Nicki, and niece, Layna, were also able to come from Kosciusko for the Taylor Swift concert! We loved having them here and hope they come back soon!

All of us on our way out of the concert

We didn't take too many pictures at the Dave Matthews show, but this is one of the ones that we did take...

This is where I spend a lot of my day...studying...

The first weekend in October we were able to go home to celebrate emily's (M-sturs, my sister-in-law) birthday! It was lots of fun! David, my brother, wore his hawiian shirt for the occation!

Breck's birthday and Barbie!

Breck and I had a great weekend! It was Breck's birthday, so we celebrated! Breck had requested a cheesecake for his birthday, so I found his mom's recipe and was ready to cook! On Friday, I made the cheesecake and put it in the oven to bake. I knew the pan was very full, but I did not think much about it...in retrospect, I should have... I was on the phone with my friend, Melissa, when I happened to be walking through the kitchen and then I realized quickly that the oven was on fire! The cheesecake was overflowing and hitting the wire that heats up. Still not thinking too much, I opened the oven and the fire came out! Then I turned the oven off for a little while, then put it on a much lower temperature and continued to cook it. It still turned out good, although the aroma throughout the apartment was not cheesecake, rather it was burt stove. Breck still enjoyed it! After blowing out the candles he quickly cut his slice, about 1/5th of the cake....but he wasn't able to eat all that!

We were able to go to Bonefish Grill for dinner Friday night to celebrate! It was really good! Then Saturday, Breck and I went with Jason and Christy to Murry's Dinner Playhouse. It was a suprise for both Breck and Jason for their birthdays! It was fun! It was a great buffet dinner and then we saw a play, First Baptist of Ivy Gap. This is us at the dinner/play...

Saturday morning was Hailey's birthday party! She had a Barbie Princess Birthday Party! The girls came in, made necklaces, Barbie gave them make-overs, they ate, played a "cake-walk", kiss the frog (which was like pin-the-tail-on the-donkey), and then ate birthday cake! I was privaledged to be Barbie at the party! So I put on my 11th grade prom dress, a wig, debutaunt gloves, glitter, and lots of make-up! All the girls were very excited to have the real Barbie there! They asked me the funniest questions...I wish I could remember them all, but some of them were: What is your middle name? Where do you live? How did you get here? Will you come to my Birthday Party? How did you know to come? And lots more...
